From the first five months this year, the throughput of Shenzhen International Jingjiang Port, located in Jingjiang city, Jiangsu province, increased by 25 percent year-on-year.

The port, which began operations in 2024, has adopted intelligent construction to drive its development. An intelligent remote control center serves as the brain of the port, linking multiple systems, including production management, equipment management, safety management, and video surveillance.

With the help of the Internet of Things and digital twin technology, the port's visualization platform can dynamically display on-site operational status, enabling operations and maintenance personnel to monitor the port's overall status at any time.

The port has also developed a production management system that integrates the entire operational chain, including commerce, ship scheduling, cargo handling, and storage yards, boosting information sharing among port affairs, maritime affairs, shipping companies, and customers.

At present, the port's overall operational efficiency has increased by about 30 percent year-on-year. It can load and unload 50,000-metric-ton sea vessels more than 10 hours faster than the industry average, and its work efficiency is among the leading levels among bulk cargo terminals along the Yangtze River.
