The affiliated corridor of Expo Belgrade 2027, which was designed, manufactured, and installed by China Construction Steel Structure (Jiangsu), located in Jiangyin-Jingjiang Industrial Park, Jiangsu province, was successfully topped out on June 1 (local time).
This marks the successful completion of the steel structure topping-out for the key infrastructure of Expo Belgrade 2027.
The Expo Belgrade 2027 project is located in Surcin in the southwest of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is one of China’s first six measures to support the construction of a China-Serbia community with a shared future in the new era under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
The steel structure of the largest exhibition hall in the project, Hall 5, was topped out earlier.
During the construction process, the project team has innovatively integrated multiple construction methods such as combining ground assembly welding with high-altitude bolt connection to ensure the precise docking and stable positioning of large components.
To improve work efficiency and the degree of eco-friendly construction, a 3,000W high-power laser rust removal machine independently developed by the company was also put into use on the project site. This equipment relies on laser pulse technology to efficiently clean the welding parts of steel components, improving the efficiency of surface treatment and construction accuracy before welding.
