South African Zukhanye Zeppe (Ajing) started his soccer journey in Jingjiang, Jiangsu province, this year and built friendships with his teammates through the passion of soccer.
Ajing is 31 years old this year. Six years ago, he came to Jingjiang and became an English foreign teacher in a local kindergarten.
He participated in the second match of the 2026 Jingjiang Rural Soccer Super League, also known as Jingjiang Village Super League, on April 26, as a member of the Dongxing Tiandiyuan Team. Though the opponent team, Gushan Muma Team, beat Dongxing Tiandiyuan Team 5 to 3, Ajing scored goals and gained unforgettable memories.
"I've been here for about six years now, so sometimes I feel like this is also my home. I often forget that I am in China. It's just a nice place," said Ajing.
