In the first half of the year, Jingjiang in Jiangsu province saw 1,595 newly established enterprises with the total registered capital of these enterprises reaching 5.69 billion yuan ($840.53 million), marking respective year-on-year increases of 15.08 percent and 121.38 percent.
The data reflects investment enthusiasm and shows that the average size and strength of newly established enterprises in the city are significantly increasing.
In terms of industry distribution, wholesale and retail, scientific research and technology services, and construction have become investment hotspots, accounting for over 65 percent of the total.
The construction industry has registered the fastest growth momentum, with 263 new enterprises established, up 35.57 percent from the corresponding period in 2025.
In addition, there were 203 newly established manufacturing enterprises, a jump of 24.54 percent, showing a steady pace of growth.
The number of newly established enterprises in industries such as leasing and business services, transportation, warehousing, and postal services, culture, sports, and entertainment all achieved double-digit growth, showing the continued strengthening of market confidence.
