The Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone – located in Taixing city in East China's Jiangsu province – has been moving in recent years to upgrade its infrastructure and develop an eco-friendly environment.
Recently, local departments conducted inspections of businesses responsible for the emission of hazardous phosphorus and other substances. They mainly tested the PH value, as well as the phosphorus and fluorine content of the water to ensure that the quality met the required standards.
Those enterprises found to discharge excessive phosphorus will be tracked regularly by the zone in regards to their production processes.
In addition, the zone will deploy aerial drones and leverage local 38 air stations and two water stations to collect real-time data on the environment, so it can monitor the precise traces and treatment of pollutants.
Furthermore, the zone is encouraging local musical instrument workshops to settle in special areas for the discharge of pollutants – that were funded and built by the local government – to minimize the impact on the environment of the spray painting of their products.
Accelerating the upgrading of industrial infrastructure, adopting clean energy alternatives and promoting the recycling of water are also being encouraged to improve the environment.
