The renovation and expansion project of the Guangling hub section to Jingjiang hub section of the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway is expected to be completed this May.
The expressway serves as the main corridor connecting Taixing, Jiangsu province to Beijing, Shanghai, and the southern Jiangsu region.
The total length of the renovation and expansion project is about 10.54 kilometers, with the Taixing section starting from the Guangling hub in the north and ending at the Jingtai boundary river in the south.
After completion, the road will be widened from six lanes to ten lanes in both directions, with a designed speed of 120 kilometers per hour, helping to ease traffic pressure.
