Huangqiao town in Taixing city – administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – has undertaken a raft of measures since the start of the year to boost its facilities and living conditions for residents.
It's promoted the upgrade of urban and rural roads, improved things at parking lots, amusement parks and walking trails.
What's more, in the current year, Huangqiao town has invested over 600,000 yuan ($81,979) in installing 48 electricity charging stations in residential areas, helping to meet the needs of residents.
"The intelligent charging system can calculate the charging cost based on battery power and charging duration and it will automatically cut off, which is both safe and convenient," said Wu Qingya, a local resident.
"Improving the quality of people's lives is the core and fundamental value of urban construction and development," said Zhang Yi, deputy Party secretary of Huangqiao town.
