A 16-member delegation from Donghua University in East China's Shanghai visited the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone – located in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province – on April 18.
The delegation was led by Li Jiayao, Party secretary of the College of Textiles and Liu Jianshu, Party secretary of the College of Environmental Science and Engineering at Donghua University.
Through industry-university-research exchange activities, the two parties are seeking to boost the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation and talent training.
Five business representatives from the zone gave a briefing on their innovation achievements and technical advantages in the fields of intelligent manufacturing, water treatments, environmental technology, technological engineering and fashion designs.
In response, the delegation members provided targeted guidance and suggestions on resolving the technical difficulties and development bottlenecks experienced by the zone's companies.
Donghua University plans to establish closer cooperation with enterprises that have settled in the zone to jointly carry out scientific research projects, talent training and technological innovation activities, said Li Jiayao and Liu Jianshu.
The deputy director of the zone's management committee, Cui Zhen, said that the zone would join forces with Donghua University to explore communications modes in various aspects – such as technology research and development and market development, in the process making greater contributions to the regional economy.
