Ten German business institutions and enterprises in China toured Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province on May 30-31.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the all-round strategic partnership between China and Germany.
Over the past decade, the relationship between the two countries has maintained a high level of development, continuously deepening practical cooperation in bilateral trade and investment.
German businesses are closely connected with Taizhou. In 2023, Taizhou's trade with Germany increased by 5.8 percent year-on-year, more than twice the growth rate of the city's overall foreign trade during the same period.
During the two-day trip, the German guests visited companies including the Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group and Das Solar (Taizhou) Co Ltd, as well as the China Medical City Medical Expo Hall and the Hailing Business Environment Experience Hall.
During the period, a commerce and trade exchange matching meeting was also held, with the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone, the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone and the Xinghua High-tech Zone – all located in Taizhou – promoting their industries.
German-funded enterprises in Taizhou – such as Boehringer Ingelheim and Linde Industrial Gases, as well as overseas institutions and potential business partners in the city – delivered speeches.
