In recent years, the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone, located in Taixing city, East China's Jiangsu province, has undertaken innovative measures in energy efficiency, pollution reduction and resource utilization.
In doing so, the zone has established a green standard system that is compatible with its industrial supply chain and has been selected as a national-level green industrial park.
To tap into the potential for energy conservation and carbon reduction, the zone has been guiding resident companies to adopt clean energy and to accelerate the transformation of energy-saving and carbon reducing technologies through policy support and financial incentives.
One prime example, Jiangsu Sunpower, promotes the continuous upgrading of battery charging and discharging technology in its chemical workshop.
It has optimized the original resistance-based charging and discharging technology to inverter-based charging and discharging, improving the charging and discharging efficiency of a battery while achieving energy reuse.

Last year, the zone improved its service supervision and implemented special governance on the stable and compliant emissions of enterprises.
Currently, the zone is home to two national-level green factories and three provincial-level green factories.
