Taixing city, East China's Jiangsu province, is heavily promoting the development of its new food industry towards the high-end, green and high added value areas of endeavor.
That's based on its key industry supply chains for high-quality grain, animal protein, pre-made vegetable and fruit drinks, as well as bio-fermentation and future food.
Manufacturer Dongsheng Biotech (Taixing), based in the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone, has been engaged in developing TG enzyme products for over 10 years.
TG enzyme products are food additives that act to improve the texture and appearance of food products, particularly meat, by binding proteins together.
The company has been leading the domestic market for three consecutive years, with its TG enzyme products accounting for over 60 percent of domestic market share and 35 percent of the foreign market share.

The Taixing Huangqiao EDZ is following a development path in nutritional supplements, food for exercise repair and special medical food, striving to create an influential future food and health industry mecca at home and abroad.
Elsewhere in the city's agricultural product processing park, Jiangsu Chaoyue Agricultural Development is a subsidiary of Jiangsu Lujiangnan Food and operates the biggest supply chain base for the Lujiangnan sauce braised food brand.
This year, the company plans to work with online platforms to further consolidate its leading market position and is expected to increase its annual sales by 30-50 million yuan ($4.14-$6.90 million).
For the new food industry, plans are in place for the city to sign eight projects worth over 500 million yuan each. There are also plans for it to help nurture 15 food enterprises above a designated size, those with annual revenue of 20 million yuan or more, and to generate total revenue in the sector of 22.5 billion yuan in the current year.
