The company has collaborated with universities to establish joint laboratories and accelerate technological iteration and upgrading, said Liu Junyou, chief engineer of the company.
After ten years of research and development, it has conquered the core technology of pre nickel plating, filling a gap in the field of domestically produced pre nickel plated battery steel strips.

Li Jianzhong, general manager of the company, said that the first batch of domestically produced pre nickel plated steel strips for power lithium batteries were successfully shipped in March, showing that the product quality is becoming increasingly mature.
By optimizing product structure, photovoltaic power generation, waste heat recovery and other technologies, the company now can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 2,000 metric tons annually.
Efforts were also made to invest nearly 100 million yuan ($13.88 million) in building an intelligent factory, which makes full use of digital management techniques throughout the entire production process. This has improved production efficiency by 30 percent and decreased the defective product rate to less than 0.2 percent.
