Robots have replaced manual labor at Workshop 5 run by Jiangsu Shenyi Technology Manufacturing, located in the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone in Taixing city, Jiangsu province, in the wake of continued technological upgrades and product quality improvements.
The production line mainly produces wind power forgings, rotary support forgings and tire mold forgings. As a result of all the upgrades, the company has become a designated supplier for international heavyweight engineering groups such as ZF and Flender, said Wang Zhongjun, its deputy general manager.
As an innovative small and medium-sized manufacturer, Shenyi has continued to adhere to increasing its research and development investment budget, leading to it now holding two invention patents and 31 utility model patents.
Of these, a patent for a flange turning device and turning process approved in May this year solved a nagging vibration offset problem in large-scale flange turning and the machining accuracy was refined to the exacting tolerance of mere micrometers.
Instant technological upgrades and product quality improvements have brought significant commercial benefits to the company. From January to June this year, it generated invoice sales of 120 million yuan ($16.73 million), a hefty 19 percent year-on-year increase.
