Adhering to the national Healthy China 2030 initiative, the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone in Taixing, Jiangsu province, has realized the transformation of industries from the traditional rough processing of agricultural and sideline products to emerging industries such as bio-fermentation, nutrition and health.
Dedicated efforts have been made by the zone to develop the Bio-fermentation and Future Food City of China, with a planned area of 200 hectares and total investment of over 10 billion yuan ($1.39 billion), to empower the high-quality development of the health sector in the Yangtze River Delta region.
At the special medical food research institute of the Bio-fermentation and Future Food City of China, the renovation of the pilot production line for whole grain liquid foods for special dietary uses is nearly complete. The renovation will help cultivate China's independent brands of foods for special dietary uses.
