In the next five years, the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone in Taixing, Jiangsu province, aims to hit new highs in terms of economic development, focus on new projects, and revitalize its industries, creating a hub for industrial development in the eastern part of Taixing.
The park will advance its integration within the Yangtze River Delta region and the Shanghai metropolitan area, accelerate the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, and ensure double-digit growth in invoice sales and industrial and commercial tax revenue by the end of the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-30).
In the current year, the zone has set out goals of signing more than 40 new projects worth over 100 million yuan ($14.4 million) each, breaking ground on more than 20 new projects worth over 100 million yuan apiece, and completing the construction of more than 15 projects worth over 100 million yuan each, according to Shao Ming, director of the zone's management committee.
In the direction of intelligence, greening, and integration, the zone will upgrade and implement a new round of industrial development plans, and consolidate and further develop its three advantageous industrial clusters of chemical new materials, modern equipment, and healthy manufacturing.
The park will also welcome and enhance future industries such as cutting-edge new materials, general intelligence, and biomanufacturing.
