Standing at the starting point of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) period, the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone in Taixing, Jiangsu province, will accelerate the transformation of its three major industrial clusters towards the deep integration of production and innovation.
They include lithium battery, bio-fermentation, and high-end equipment industries. Relying on leading enterprises, the zone strives to improve upstream and downstream support facilities, build a closed-loop industrial ecosystem, and shape iconic regional industrial landmarks.

In the Phase IV intelligent workshop of Jiangsu Sunpower, a professional cylindrical power lithium-ion battery manufacturer in the zone, two 300-PPM high-speed production lines run at full speed. They can produce 300 high-rate lithium battery cells per minute, which is 50 percent higher than traditional production lines.
It has set a clear development goal of having over 100 high-tech enterprises by the end of the five-year period.
The zone also continues to nurture the academician economy, leverage the academician innovation platform in bio-fermentation, and deepen collaborative research and development in the Yangtze River Delta.
In the high-end equipment industry, Huierxin Machinery (Taixing) has developed the world's first intelligent forming equipment specifically designed for critical components of wind power systems.
Huierxin Machinery partnered with Tsinghua University to develop an advanced intelligent assembly production line, capitalizing on the capabilities of the industrial Internet to facilitate equipment self-diagnosis and automate data archiving processes.
Anchoring the five-year industrial development goals, the zone has set a goal of achieving industrial invoice sales exceeding 30 billion yuan ($4.45 billion) by the end of the five years.
