The 2026 Intelligent Manufacturing and Mechanical Dynamics Conference and Taixing Modern Equipment Industry-Academia-Research Matchmaking Activity were held in Taixing, Jiangsu province, on Aug 1.
University scholars, industry leaders, and business representatives from all over the country gathered in Taixing for in-depth exchanges on academic research and industry trends related to intelligent manufacturing and mechanical power.
Niu Shijie, mayor of Taixing, said that the modern equipment industry is one of three key characteristic industries in the city, and that the city is home to 467 related enterprises above designated size.

He added that during the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) period, Taixing's modern equipment industry will focus on strengthening core support such as ship and marine equipment, intelligent equipment, and green low-carbon equipment, further boosting the reputation of the "Taixing Intelligent Manufacturing" brand.
During the conference, a representative from the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone introduced the zone's industrial characteristics and signed tentative agreements with some attendees on-site.
