Leading companies in the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone in Taixing, Jiangsu province, are driving the green upgrading of the industrial chain.
High-rate lithium battery, biological fermentation and future food, and modern wind power intelligent equipment, are three characteristic industries in the zone.
Huierxin Machinery (Taixing), a company that provides key components for wind power equipment to Fortune 500 companies such as Siemens and Trane, was named a "National Green Factory" in 2024.
"Our independently developed iron mold sand covering technology has replaced the traditional resin sand casting process, combined with intelligent equipment such as automatic sand shooting machines and mold closing machines, achieving full process automation of production," said Lyu Jianjie, deputy general manager of the company.

The company also invested 7 million yuan ($1.04 million) in a thermal regeneration system to recycle old sand, reducing solid waste emissions by over a thousand metric tons annually.
Jiangsu Sunpower is a global professional manufacturer of cylindrical power lithium-ion batteries. At present, the green concept has been integrated into the company's every aspect of production and operation.
The company has carried out a series of technological transformations to improve efficiency and reduce consumption, including improving the use of water and steam in the boiler room, upgrading and transforming the chilled water pipeline, and upgrading the technology of the injection gas treatment facilities.
SDIC Dongsheng Biotech (Taizhou) is the largest TG enzyme compound additive production base in China, with a production volume accounting for 60 percent of the Chinese market.
The company has built a solar photovoltaic power station with an installed capacity of 4MWp, with photovoltaic power accounting for all building energy consumption.
Through measures such as optimizing the process route and transforming water-saving electromechanical equipment, the company's comprehensive recycling and utilization rate of solid waste has reached 100 percent, and the wastewater reuse rate has reached 99 percent.
