Spanning 49.5 square kilometers in Jiangyan district, Taizhou, Jiangsu province, Qinhu Bay is irresistibly charming. Here are four reasons to visit this captivating place.

One reason is the folksy charm of the Qingtong Boat Festival. Over a millennium ago, Song Dynasty (960-1279) hero Yue Fei defeated the Jin army here. To honor the fallen soldiers, locals formed raft boats for tomb-sweeping during Qingming Festival.

Qinhu Bay showcases Jiangyan's ecological and historical allure. It is home to China's second and Jiangsu's first wetland park, where 251 wild plant and 392 wild animal species thrive. It also houses Qingtong Ancient Town, with well-preserved Ming and Qing (1644-1911) architectural complexes.

For those looking for some wild fun and pastoral charm, Qinhu Bay doesn't disappoint. Apailang Creativity Park, a vast outdoor space that fuses natural wonders with future tech, is great for families. Plus, villages like Fengzhuang and Zhounan have been transformed into themed study tour areas, giving visitors the chance to experience fishing, kiln culture, and more firsthand.

For those eager for leisure opportunities, Qinhu Bay shines. Local organic produce and the "Eight Qinhu Delicacies", made from unique aquatic products, are must-tries. The Qinhu Hot Spring Center offers golf in the morning, mineral-rich hot springs in the afternoon, and a restful night. The 42.19-kilometer slow-travel route around the bay provides stunning views. For fun, fitness events, food competitions, and international sports tournaments are held throughout the year.
