On April 6, a donation consisting of more than 3,600 books were sent from Xinghua, East China's Jiangsu province, to Zhaosu county, Ili Kazak autonomous prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region by express mail service.
The books were donated from students of No 1 Middle School of Xinghua, covering popular science, history, fairy tales, novels, and other genres.

"I have been fond of reading since I was young, and now there are many books at my home that I have already read. When I found out that many students in Xinjiang lacked books to read, I did not hesitate to participate in the donation activity," said student Yang Hanqi.
An online connection was also made, with teachers and students of Zhaosu County Fourth Middle School expressing their gratitude for the donated books.
