The Huangqiao e-commerce industrial park – located in Huangqiao town, administered by Taixing city in East China's Jiangsu province – has pushed hard to develop its e-commerce industry.

One example is Wu Xin, founder of Zhengpeng Musical Instrument Co Ltd, who was recently using livestreaming to help sell his violins.

"I began livestreaming in February and it has shortened the distance between the clients and me, greatly improving the conversion rate of our orders," Wu said.

Huangqiao has done well in recent years in expanding its e-commerce by incubating and cultivating business entities that are especially suited to it and through university-company cooperation, implementing attractive policies and by beefing up its industry supply chain.

It has also connected with first tier agents of Amazon in China to develop cross-border e-commerce trade, boosting Huangqiao's e-commerce brands in their push to go global.

This year, the park has got off to a strong start. It has added nine internet enterprises and 41 incubating enterprises, with combined sales of 49 million yuan ($7.12 million) and tax payments of 1.79 million yuan in the first quarter.

Moving forwards, plans are for the park to continue to cultivate its businesses, develop its industry supply chain and create independent brands – in a bid to create an efficient distribution system for local agricultural and industrial products.
