The city of Xinghua – a county-level metropolis, administered by the prefecture-level city of Taizhou, in East China's Jiangsu province – held a press conference on Jan 5 to promote investment in the city.
Xinghua's Party Secretary Chen Fengjian said that the city's development was the primary task and attracting more and more projects was the crucial work.
Liu Feng, secretary of the party working committee of the Xinghua Economic Development Zone, outlined its investment campaign for the year.
The first goal will be to innovate its investment marketing. To do so, the Xinghua EDZ will broaden its different channels and strengthen links with investment organizations, commerce associations and other units.
In addition, the zone will leverage the competitive advantage of its health foods sector. It will aim to attract world-class, national-level, provincial-level enterprises to settle there, to improve the high-quality development of its economy. What's more, the zone will promote talent reforms, boosting its investment marketing team.
Second, the Xinghua EDZ will move to improve its services. By increasing its project approvals speed, the zone aims to streamline the entire review process. It will also boost the collaborative coordination of functional departments to improve things. Furthermore, it will strive to achieve breakthroughs in provincial projects by improving its planning capabilities and communicate with major projects construction offices in Taizhou and Xinghua cities.
Third, it will accelerate its transformation upgrade. To do so, the zone will provide specific services for different enterprises, redeploy inefficient and idle land and bolster the construction of carrier platforms to improve its overall competitiveness.
