Xinghua in East China's Jiangsu province is making significant strides towards high-quality development by further integrating into the Yangtze River Delta and enhancing its modern infrastructure.
According to the city's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30), Xinghua aims to optimize its productivity layout and promote a modern urban environment. It plans to complete key projects like the Yancheng-Yixing High-Speed Railway and a general airport, emphasizing regional collaboration for new development advantages.
Xinghua is actively engaging with the wider Yangtze River Delta, targeting key areas like Shanghai and southern Jiangsu to attract high-end projects in sectors such as advanced equipment and artificial intelligence. The city is also working to integrate further into the Shanghai metropolitan area, establishing itself as a leisure and wellness destination, and directly supplying premium agricultural products to Shanghai.
The city is committed to building a modern urban environment, enhancing its central urban area's capacity, and promoting urban renewal with a focus on safety and sustainability. Efforts include the construction of a comprehensive transportation network and the development of a resilient water management system.
Efforts will also be made to advance the layout and construction of new infrastructure. It will accelerate the deep coverage of gigabit optical networks and 5G networks in its economic development zones and industrial parks.
By fostering regional cooperation and advancing urban modernization, Xinghua hopes to achieve significant development milestones and contribute to broader regional growth and prosperity.
