Xinghua EDZ explains policies to potential investors online

Wang Yong, deputy secretary of the Party working committee of the Xinghua Economic Development Zone – located in Xinghua city, administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – showed up at a livestreaming event on the local FM101.9 portal on June 15, to plug its attractive investment policies.

After giving a background talk on the zone, Wang responded to questions posted by internet users. The topics ranged from improvements to the business environment and the rural medical mutual assistance program, to the formalities of land transfers and living allowances for seniors over 80.

The 15 questions also included queries about the operation and maintenance of public services in rural areas, applications for family farms, incentives for investment projects, as well as public concerns such as safety and environmental protection.

The zone is calling for more suggestions from the public, Wang said, adding this would enable it to better fulfill its duties and to improve its services for local residents and investors, to promote its quality growth.

The 45-minute live-streaming event attracted over 3,780 viewers and was broadcast live on several local media platforms.
