The Xinghua Economic Development Zone in Xinghua city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – is advancing the construction of a health food cluster area for enterprises to settle there, called the Zhonghua Shigu Area B.
With area A already in use, the B area project began construction at the start of 2023. With a total investment of 1 billion yuan ($140 million), it will build 12 modern standard factories and one comprehensive building, which is expected to begin operations by the end of March 2024.
It is designated under the model of "government building factories and customers moving in", which aims to reduce the burden on enterprises and be more conducive to projects starting operations as soon as possible.
"The construction of B area will make up for the shortcomings of A area in terms of environmental protection facilities, business reception and other fields," said zone official Wang Yong.
He added that to date five enterprises had signed settlement agreements, but there were still more than 10 companies waiting to settle there.
