The city of Xinghua – administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – is moving to boost the sharing of resources between large, established businesses and small enterprises.

The move is to help small enterprises solve the difficulties they encounter in their development, such as a lack of safety management teams, experience in project applications and green manufacturing talent.

Local government departments have visited leading supply chain enterprises and identified their special and advantageous resources.

The departments will attempt to bridge the gap between industry leaders with resources and technological advantages and small enterprises with demand and potential. They'll carry out paired assistance in the form of "one-on-one" or "one-to-many" help.

For enterprises willing to help small businesses and achieve effective results, the city will also establish effective assistance incentive mechanisms.

Xinghua Kangying Food Co Ltd, faced with the issue of an insufficient allocation of dedicated personnel for safety management, received help from Maiken Jiadun (Jiangsu) Food Co Ltd – through the bridge of the Party committee of Xinghua's green and health food industry alliance.

"We impart practical experience in safety risk management to small businesses, which is beneficial to the entire industry in the long run," said Zhao Qi, safety director of Maiken Jiadun.
