The Jiangsu Development and Reform Commission on Sept 6 released its adjustment list for this year's provincial-level major projects and provincial-level key industry projects for private investment.
Two projects in the Xinghua Economic Development Zone, located in Xinghua city, East China's Jiangsu province, were included.
After the adjustment, the zone's new intelligent electrical equipment factory, being funded by Nanjing Qihou Intelligent Electrical Equipment, was recognized as a major advanced manufacturing industry project in the province.
When at full capacity, the new plant is expected to generate annual invoiced sales of 1.6 billion yuan ($228.21 million).
In addition, the health food industry transformation and upgrading facility being operated by zone company Jiangsu Mars Food has been added to the list of provincial-level key industry projects for private investment in 2024.
With an investment of 1.16 billion yuan, the health food plant is projected to be completed by September next year. When up and running, it is expected to produce 40,000 metric tons of seasonings, 22,000 tons of leisure food and 12,000 tons of prefabricated dishes annually.
Poly Orica (Jiangsu) Mining Machinery's special vehicles manufacturing plant in the zone was already included in the list of this year's Jiangsu major advanced manufacturing projects.
It will build 56,278 square meters of factories and office buildings and purchase 171 sets of automation and intelligent equipment, paving the way for intelligent manufacturing of products.
