Jiangsu Natural Food, located in the Xinghua Economic Development Zone in Xinghua city, administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province, can now arrange goods production and export plans in a more flexible manner.
The company recently issued a Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) certificate of origin for a batch of dehydrated vegetables worth $57,200, which were exported to Japan.
This marked the first certificate of origin independently issued by an approved exporter in Xinghua since the RCEP agreement came into effect.
In December last year, the company was recognized by customs as an approved exporter. This means that the company can issue its own certificates of origin, which have the same legal authority as those issued by customs.
The approved exporter system is a major part of the RCEP agreement.
Looking ahead, Taizhou Customs will continue to cultivate enterprises which are eligible to apply for RCEP approved exporter qualifications, as well as guide and assist enterprises in mastering RCEP rules of certificate of origin and seizing opportunities to share policy dividends.
