Xinghua holds industry development commendation conference

Xinghua city, located in East China's Jiangsu province, held a commendation conference for high-quality industry development on Feb 6.

The event paid tribute to outstanding entrepreneurs and called for more of them to step forwards.

Chen Fengjian, Xinghua's Party secretary, said his city would conduct visits to 65 key enterprises, 57 growth-oriented enterprises and 33 technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises after the Spring Festival holiday, assisting them to solve their development problems.

The city has committed to building a demonstration site for industry upgrades throughout the province, based on the development advantages of existing industries such as the stainless steel, food and casting sectors.

Plans are for a special financial fund of 200 million yuan ($27.44 million) to be set up at the municipal level. It will focus on aspects of promoting innovative technologies, cultivating innovative projects, jointly building innovation platforms, gathering innovative talent and attracting innovative capital.

Advanced enterprises and demonstration projects throughout the city were also commended at the event, in a bid to inspire the enthusiasm of entrepreneurs to innovate and create excellence.

Representatives from local companies delivered speeches at the meeting, discussing their expectations and goals for the year ahead.

Jiang Heng, general manager of Taizhou Anjoy Food, said his company would accelerate its third phase workshop and aim to start construction in the second half of the year.
