The Xinghua Food Quality Inspection and Testing Center, located in Xinghua city, Jiangsu province, has shortened its testing cycle for food, ensuring timely deliveries to market and sales.

Since March 9, the testing cycle had been reduced to a regular seven working days, with urgent testing divided into five working days and three working days.

Wang Yougan, head of the center, said that previously it took 10-15 days for food manufacturers to receive their food inspection report. The complete cycle for them was too long, which could delay the supply of products, Wang added.

Food manufacturers said that time was of the essence in the production and sales of their products and the change introduced by the test center would certainly help.

"Due to the continuous development, there are a large number of samples that need to be inspected at the factory every day and time is urgent," said Wang Yongnan, chairman of Xinghua Baicaixian Seasoning Factory.

He added that the testing service cycle had been significantly shortened and there was no longer a need to worry about products not being able to be inspected in time.
