The Xinghua (Wuxi) Offshore Innovation Center, established in July 2023 by Xinghua city and built in Jiangnan University in Wuxi city, both located in Jiangsu province, is proving to be effective.
The center will help boost the upstream and downstream of Xinghua's agricultural product deep processing industry and increase the industry's overall efficiency.
The center was established to meet the technological needs of agricultural and sideline products and includes major platforms for entrepreneurship incubations, accelerated research and development and recruitment to the sector.
Dehydrated product manufacturer Xinghua Dingkang Food Technology signed an agreement with the innovation center to commercialize the advanced nano microbubble cleaning technology.
The technology provides a comprehensive solution to the common problems of heavy metals, antibiotics and pesticide residues in seafood products and fruit and vegetables.
Pei Manian, director of the Xinghua Science and Technology Bureau, said that the center not only provided key core technology R&D for enterprises, but also offered support innovation and entrepreneurship services such as technology consulting, intellectual property and event planning.
The center has established seven laboratories for fields such as precision nutrition and extrusion recombinations, intelligent cooking and microbiology.
It's also established strategic cooperation with a number of science and technology innovation funds, providing comprehensive services for the settled enterprises or projects, according to the head of the School of Food Science and Technology at Jiangnan University.
