Xinghua city, a region where the cultivation of rice and the breeding of fish is flourishing, is moving to write a new chapter in the high-quality development of modern agriculture, with a highlight on its entire grain industry chain.
The Xinghua Modern Agricultural Industrial Park was recently included in the list of modern agricultural industrial park projects approved for 2025, announced by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
The industrial park covers six towns, streets and development zones, including Diaoyu town, Duotian sub-district and the Xinghua Economic Development Zone.
It is home to 52 rice processing business enterprises and 163 deep processing enterprises. It has built an e-commerce cold chain logistics park and a centralized area for health food processing and established a complete industry supply chain. This goes from rice order and planting to warehousing, drying, processing and sales.

For the next three years, the industrial park will invest 2.46 billion yuan ($341.18 million), including a subsidy fund of 100 million yuan from the Chinese central government, in implementing 27 projects in fields such as improvements to grain yields, transformation and upgrading of the agricultural product processing industry, and green agricultural development.
Goals have also been set out to build 30 scientific research platforms, four regional agricultural comprehensive service centers and to build a digital center for agricultural product origin services.
