A groundbreaking ceremony for the intelligent manufacturing base of new energy intelligent electric vehicle frames took place in the Xinghua Economic Development Zone, Xinghua, Jiangsu province, on Oct 28.
It is the second phase project of Jiangsu Qianyang Automotive Technology, which will build a 70,000-squre-meter new energy intelligent electric vehicle manufacturing base that integrates research and development, production, and testing.
The second phase project will introduce 300 robots to form 30 welding production lines, adopting a "robot plus digital control" mode to achieve improvements in production efficiency and fill the production capacity gap in the high-end electric vehicle parts field of the zone.
The company, which set up operations in the zone in June 2024, was previously based in Qianduo town in Xinghua.
This year, after learning about the company’s desire to expand, the zone launched a service team to quickly arrange 5.33 hectares of land and provide comprehensive guarantees in terms of administrative approval for the second phase project.
Looking ahead, the zone will strengthen communication and coordination to guarantee engineering construction, striving to put the project into operation by March 2026.
