The Xinghua Economic Development Zone in Xinghua, Jiangsu province, will take proactive measures to promote leading achievements and practical results in 2026.
In 2026, the zone strives to increase the number of project signings by 16 percent year-on-year, with more than half of these projects exceeding 500 million yuan ($72.05 million). The zone seeks to grow the actual foreign investment usage by more than 20 percent year-on-year.
Enhanced service and efficiency are also expected to improve the implementation and completion rates of investment projects. The zone will ensure the completion of 12 key projects throughout the year.
The zone is poised to make every effort to promote the development of its characteristic industrial area, with a focus on the iconic core area of the health food industry. It will continue to develop the two major industrial chains of deep processing of agricultural and sideline food and premade food, food for special medical purposes, and functional food, and actively lay out and cultivate emerging industries such as computing power and intelligent driving.
The zone will build more platforms to gather resources. For instance, it will further develop the food industry's raw material procurement platform.
The zone will also concentrate on targeted, job-oriented training tailored to its leading industries to relieve the structural contradictions in employment.
