Xinghua in Jiangsu province has proposed creating a development environment that makes talents feel more prosperous in the city, while also taking a leading and active approach in overcoming the bottlenecks of high-quality development and addressing the urgent and difficult needs of the people, said Chen Fengjian, the city's Party secretary.
Chen said that Xinghua has distinct characteristics in its industrial clusters, with the stainless-steel and health food industries gathering more than 60 percent of the city's specialized and sophisticated enterprises.
He said that by focusing on two dominant industries, Xinghua will provide a fair and stable long-term industrial environment.
For the stainless-steel industry, the focus will be on improving the pickling service level, optimizing surface treatment approval, strengthening inspection and testing functions, and providing special services for power lines, among others.

For the health food industry, the city will focus on promoting centralized procurement services for bulk food raw materials, cold chain warehousing, and intelligent cloud warehouse construction, while continuously reducing the development costs for enterprises.
Project attraction and construction are the strong foundations for local economic development. Xinghua will further boost the enthusiasm and precision of investment promotion efforts, including improving the project promotion mechanism and holding regular project attraction and construction meetings.
Chen said that in 2026, efforts will be made to develop the stainless-steel industry towards producing special alloy products and to advance health food into food for specific medical purposes, further strengthening its competitive industries.
