The 2026 Wanghai Tower New Year Lantern Festival lit up the city and sky on Feb 6 in Taizhou, Jiangsu province. It will continue through March 31.
This year's festival features a vibrant mix of lantern displays, boat tours, intangible cultural heritage performances, and folk activities.

Highlighting the "Suchao (Jiangsu Football City League)" theme, the lanterns showcase imagery representing 13 cities across Jiangsu.

All installations are crafted by artisans from Zigong in Sichuan province, known as China's "Lantern City".

The festival is open daily from 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm, with the park closing at 10:00 pm. Children under 1.2 meters can enter free of charge.
