Shangqi Group, headquartered in Jingjiang, Taizhou, unveiled a range of new artificial intelligence-powered industrial equipment during its Global Partners Conference.
The newly released lineup includes autonomous patrol robots, unmanned transport vehicles, and robotic cleaning machines.
Yin Guangyu, general manager of Shangqi Group, said that these products mark key milestones in the company's AI application in industrial equipment. He said that the autonomous transport vehicle seamlessly operates in indoor and outdoor settings and can navigate mud, slopes, and narrow passages. Meanwhile, patrol and cleaning robots support round-the-clock autonomous operation, significantly reducing labor expenses.
The company also introduced a remotely controlled rescue tow vehicle designed to operate in confined or complex environments.
The product launch drew partners from across China and overseas, including Germany, the Netherlands, Finland, Malaysia, and Australia. HeusTractors Group from the Netherlands, a longstanding partner collaborating with Shangqi since 2013 to promote agricultural loaders, forklifts, and compact excavators in Europe, was among them. In 2025, this partnership reached sales of 1,300 units valued at $20 million.
After observing the new AI equipment, company head Bert de Heus expressed strong confidence, saying the technologies would help expand their presence not only in the Netherlands but across the broader European market.
As a key player in the machinery manufacturing sector, Shangqi Group has built a global reputation for its loaders, forklifts, and compact excavators. Acknowledging the rising demand for intelligent and autonomous machinery, the company dedicated more than two years to market research and assembling specialized R&D teams to integrate AI into its product portfolio.
Looking ahead, Shangqi Group is accelerating its international expansion. Its Thailand subsidiary is scheduled to begin operations in August, while preparations are underway to launch a joint venture in the United States.
