Three terminals at Taizhou Port have received provincial government approval to shift from temporary operations to full public opening, raising the city's total number of open terminals to 35.
The newly approved facilities include the outfitting wharf in the eastern area of New Times Shipbuilding at the Jingjiang Port Area, the Jinyan Storage liquid chemical terminal at the Taixing Port Area, and the public terminal at the Qiwei operation zone in the same port area.
The New Times Shipbuilding outfitting wharf has a 920-meter shoreline and three 95,000-ton berths, with a designed annual outfitting capacity of 1.5 million deadweight tons. The full opening is anticipated to enable the shipbuilder to accelerate order deliveries and enhance cost efficiency.
The Jinyan Storage liquid chemical terminal serves as a key logistics hub for the Taixing Economic Development Zone's chemical industry, valued at more than 20 billion yuan ($2.9 billion).
