Taizhou celebrates China Tourism Day with expanded benefits, citywide events

Taizhou, Jiangsu hosted an event celebrating the upcoming China Tourism Day on May 16, launching a series of cultural and tourism initiatives designed to boost public participation and enhance the city's tourism experience.

This year, Taizhou's annual tourism pass continues to offer great value by maintaining its price, all while significantly expanding its coverage from nine to 14 scenic sites. This expansion now includes some of the region's most popular attractions, such as the picturesque Fengcheng River, known for its stunning views and recreational activities, and the historic Kou'an Ornamental Building.

More than 20 cultural and tourism activities are being rolled out across Taizhou from April 23 to May 31. Highlights include a collective wedding ceremony and a Belt and Road youth sports exchange week, reflecting the city's effort to integrate cultural experiences with community engagement and international exchange.

The event venue showcased dynamic stage performances, along with a variety of singing and dance programs. A total of 40 thematic booths highlighted intangible cultural heritage crafts, innovative cultural products, and health-oriented goods. This diverse presentation drew significant attendance, encouraging extensive browsing and purchasing among visitors.
