The just-concluded five-day May Day holiday in Taizhou city, East China's Jiangsu province, attracted 4.05 million visitors and generated tourism revenue of 2.48 billion yuan ($343.10 million), up a whopping 16.82 percent and 18.66 percent year-on-year, respectively.
Taizhou zaocha, or early morning tea, was undoubtedly the star delight during the break. From time-honored stores to top emerging online stores and onto creative zaocha markets, the popularity of Taizhou morning tea is showing no limit.

Taizhou has also transformed its millennium cultural heritage into great cultural and tourism products, enabling tourists to explore the city's rich culture.

During the break, Taizhou's intangible cultural heritage was combined with the tourism scene in an interactive and fresh way.
Folks took in such things as lacquer fan making in the Lizhong Water Forest Scenic Spot and a paper cutting and rubbing workshop in Shagou ancient town, so that tourists experienced the real skills of traditional culture.
