The international communication event "When 'Suchao' Meets the World" took place at the China Cultural Center in Paris on Sept 17, showcasing the vibrant city of Taizhou to a global audience.
Hosted by the Information Office of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and organized by Modern Express and the Taizhou Municipal Information Office, the event gathered diplomatic envoys, sports executives, and football fans.
As the inaugural champion of the Jiangsu Football City League, also known as Suchao, in 2025, Taizhou highlighted its athletic spirit, historic heritage, and ecological charm. The presentation drew parallels between Taizhou and Paris, emphasizing their shared connection to water — from Taizhou's historic Fengcheng River to Paris's Seine — and showcasing local landmarks like the Xinghua Qianduo Rape Flower Scenic Area and Qinhu National Wetland Park.
Key highlights included a jersey exchange between Taizhou representatives and Beauvais Football Club, an interactive photo exhibition documenting Suchao's championship journey, and discussions on youth football cooperation.
Guests, including delegates from the Charles de Gaulle Foundation and UN Tourism, praised the initiative. Through sports and cultural dialogue, Taizhou extended a warm invitation to international visitors to experience its morning tea culture, football atmosphere, and dynamic city life.
