Four projects from the Xinghua Economic Development Zone in Xinghua city – administered by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – received awards at the recent finals of the Taizhou 8th Entrepreneurship and Prosperity Competition.
The competition was divided into a college student competition and a social group competition.
The college student competition consisted of an entrepreneurial model group and an entrepreneurial project group, while the social group competition involved a rural revitalization group, an industrial strong city group and an e-commerce live streaming group.
In the college competition, a project from Xinghua Qimeng Computer Software Co Ltd scored the third award in the entrepreneurial model group.
In the social groups' category, a project on the creation and industrialization of the Xinghua fish ball, led by Hou Qiuyun, won the second award in the rural vitalization group.
A nanometer silicon carbide microcrystalline plate project led by Yan Mangxian received the third award in the industrial strong city group.
A project about spreading e-commerce culture and promoting the development of online sales received the third award in the e-commerce live streaming group.
In the run-up to the competition, Xinghua's bureau of human resources and social security organized special training for the participants and invited teachers to guide the participating projects.
