The Chengnan Industrial Park in Jingjiang, Taizhou, Jiangsu province, reported strong industrial growth in the first four months of this year, with its automotive parts sector as the key driver.

Sales revenue from major enterprises in the park totaled 6.88 billion yuan ($1.01 billion), up 5.1 percent year-on-year. Twenty-five major auto parts enterprises generated 3.11 billion yuan in sales revenue, accounting for nearly half of the park's total and marking an 8.35 percent year-on-year increase.

The park is home to leading companies such as Xincheng, Hengli and Hengyi. According to local industry data, one out of every three commercial vehicle brake systems in China and one out of every five lightweight body components used in new energy vehicles is produced in the park.

An expansion project of Xincheng Automotive Industrial is currently nearing completion. Acceptance inspections are expected to finish by the end of this month, with equipment installation scheduled to begin in June and production planned for September.

The project adds advanced manufacturing and warehousing facilities to broaden the company's product portfolio. Once fully operational, the project is expected to boost the company's annual output value to exceed 10 billion yuan.

Founded 34 years ago, Xincheng has established branches across China and cooperates with more than 30 major new energy vehicle manufacturers. It is targeting an annual revenue of 50 billion yuan this year.

Local authorities have also stepped up support for project construction and industrial coordination. The park has provided full-process services, including infrastructure support such as roads, utilities and site preparation.

Earlier this year, the Chengnan Industrial Park established a new energy vehicle parts industry alliance to strengthen cooperation among upstream and downstream enterprises. Through resource sharing, technology collaboration and tighter local supply-chain integration, companies have reduced production costs.
