Xinghua in Taizhou, Jiangsu province has been selected for the inaugural list of China National Travel's Premier Aerial Photography Destinations, earning national recognition for its spectacular landscapes and rich tourism resources.
The city is best known for its distinctive duotian, or raised-field, landscape – a centuries-old agricultural system unlike any other in China. Its iconic Qianduo Canola Flower Scenic Area, one of the world's four major seas of flowers, is especially breathtaking when viewed from above. A network of waterways divides the fields into countless floating "islands", creating striking geometric patterns that resemble a vast work of land art.

Beyond the famous canola blossoms, the city's attractions also include the Lizhong Water Forest, for its tranquil waterways and lush scenery, as well as Jindongmen Old Street, where centuries of history provide a distinctive backdrop for aerial imagery.

The selection was conducted by a panel comprising aerial photography specialists, tourism professionals, veteran media experts and professional photographers. Destinations were evaluated across multiple criteria, including visual impact, airspace accessibility, aerial route planning and tourism development potential.
