China Medical City in Taizhou is deepening cooperation with South Korea's biomedical industry, as a delegation of South Korean companies and industry representatives visited the zone on Aug 27 to explore opportunities in technology, investment and talent.
The visit was part of a China-South Korea biomedical industry exchange and investment promotion event.
During the visit, the delegation toured the China Medical City Exhibition Hall to learn about the zone's two decades of development, industrial layout, innovation platforms and achievements in industry-academia-research collaboration.
At Qyuns Therapeutics and the Medphoenix Large Animal Center, among other representative companies and platforms, the South Korean visitors gained a closer look at China Medical City's manufacturing and preclinical research capabilities.
The zone's integrated biomedical industry ecosystem, tailored business services and strong innovation momentum received positive feedback from the delegation.
The two sides also signed two strategic cooperation agreements covering industrial collaboration and an overseas offshore innovation center. The agreements are expected to establish long-term mechanisms for technology exchange, talent mobility, project development and resource sharing.
Eight South Korean high-tech companies also presented their latest projects, spanning innovative drugs, advanced medical devices, digital healthcare and cell-based medical aesthetics. The presentations led to several preliminary cooperation agreements.
