Taizhou-based Shoto unveiled a range of energy storage solutions tailored to Latin American markets at the Smarter E South America, which recently opened at the North Expo Center in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Among the highlights were the company's 5 MWh and 6.25 MWh energy storage containers. Equipped with an intelligent liquid-cooling system, the units provide efficient and even heat management and can operate reliably from -30 C to 50 C. They are also built to withstand high-altitude and humid outdoor conditions. Weather-resistant steel helps protect the equipment against corrosion and aging, supporting stable, low-maintenance operation over the long term.

To address challenges facing Brazil's power grid, including weak grid infrastructure, low inertia and a growing share of renewable energy, Shoto has also introduced a grid-forming energy storage solution. The technology can provide virtual inertia and dynamic voltage support, quickly damp power oscillations and stabilize voltage and frequency.

Backed by an integrated supply chain and strong technological capabilities, Shoto can provide customers across Latin America with end-to-end services, covering battery cells and energy storage system integration.

Yang Rui, chairman of Shoto, said the company will continue expanding in Latin America, with a focus on localized operations and partnerships across the regional energy ecosystem.
