Taizhou launches cultural and tourism benefits for upcoming holidays
This Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, Taizhou in Jiangsu province is offering a variety of cultural and tourism benefits for visitors to tour Taizhou.
Jingjiang, a county-level city under Taizhou, will launch a rich variety of themed events. From Sept 24 to Oct 7, the Yangtze River Cultural Center will host the 13-day Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day Carnival, with activities staged every day. Shengci town will hold a happy run on Sept 27, where participants can also enjoy local cuisine while running.
During the National Day holiday, the first admission tickets to Qianduo Scenic Area, Lizhong Water Forest Scenic Area, Jindongmen Scenic Area, and Shi Nai'an Cultural Park in Xinghua, Taizhou, are all being offered free of charge, with each one worth a special visit.
From Sept 20 to Oct 31, Taizhou's Taixing is issuing a total consumption subsidy of 1.8 million yuan ($268,080). From Oct 1 to 5, visitors can immerse themselves in a leisurely stroll in Huangqiao Ancient Town, as if entering the deep autumn of 1940.

The Fengcheng River Scenic Area in Hailing district of Taizhou will hold a waterfront market from 7 pm to 9 pm on Sept 28, opening up the atmosphere of celebrating the National Day holiday in advance. The operating hours of the water market during this period will be from 2 pm to 9 pm. Visitors can enjoy performances such as flower boat parades and Peking Opera.
From Sept 24 to Oct 8, Qintong Ancient Town, Jiangyan, Taizhou, will hold a Mid-Autumn Festival market, letting visitors feel the lively atmosphere.
In the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone, the Kou'an Carved Mansion Scenic Area will set up an ancient style Mid-Autumn Festival night market, with free rentals of hanfu — traditional Chinese clothing — and limited delivery of prayer belts.
Fengqi Lake will launch a series of activities to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, including DIY ice skin mooncakes and Chinese-style flower arrangements.
