The Taoyuan Park scenic area – located near the Fengcheng River in Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – is currently offering free admissions, in an initiative that will run to Feb 6.

Visitors need to make a real-name appointment online and take their temperatures before entering. Visitors are also requested to wear a mask.

Taoyuan is a theme park built to commemorate The Peach Blossom Fan created by Kong Shangren, an opera composer in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). It's said that Kong wrote the well-known opera in Taizhou.

It is situated close to the east bank of the Fengcheng River. Featured scenic spots there include a waterside quay, an ancient stone boat, Qingfeng Pavilion, Lotus Root Flower Island and Laifeng Tower.

There's also a former residence of Kong Shangren in Taoyuan Park, with typical Suzhou garden-style architecture.
