Co-hosted by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Taizhou municipal government and the CCTV Arts Program Center, the event featured a diverse lineup of over 100 performers from nearly 20 opera genres – including Peking Opera, Huaihai Opera, Yu Opera, Kunqu Opera and pingtan (Suzhou ballads).

Scheduled to air on prime time on CCTV Opera Channel on Feb 24 – the 15th day of the first month in the lunar calendar, commonly known as the Lantern Festival – the special program also highlighted the festive scenes of Taizhou during the Lantern Festival.

It presented a fresh image of Taizhou's cultural landmarks, emphasizing the development of local delicacies, handicrafts and other intangible cultural heritage and folk customs.

Don't miss the broadcast, with the Taizhou Radio and Television General Station simulcasting the event on the same day!
