Here is a list of exciting events being held in Taizhou city, East China's Jiangsu province, that you can take in during Lantern Festival, which falls on Feb 12 this year.
Running to March 8, the 2025 Taizhou Lantern Exhibition is being staged in the Taoyuan Park scenic area, with lights up from 17:30 pm to 22:00 pm. People can view the colorful lanterns, mainly featuring design elements from the Chinese New Year, opera and happiness.
In the Kouan Wood Carving Mansion Scenic Area, a lantern exhibition with the lights up at 16:30 pm every day is running to Feb 16. The event also features hanfu or tradition Chinese apparel parades, fire pot shows and iron flower shows.

People can also enjoy beautiful lanterns in Jiangyan People's Park from 16:00 pm to 22:00 pm to Feb 16, at Chaole Sports Park to Feb 16 and at Lianxi Lake Park from 18:30 pm to 20:30 pm to Feb 12.
Guessing lantern riddles is a traditional custom of Lantern Festival. From 18:30 pm to 20:30 pm on Feb 12, people can try their hand at writing lantern riddles, watch folk music performances and try some handmade activities in the Taizhou Museum. Go to the Taizhou Library on Feb 12 to guess lantern riddles is also a good choice to experience the festive vibe.
